The United States Department Of The Navy Recently Published A Notice Of Availability (NOA) For The (Draft) Environmental Impact Statement For EA-18G "Growler" Airfield Operations At Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island Complex In The Federal Register On Thursday, November 10, 2016. The Draft EIS Is Open For Public Comment Until February 2017 And Is Available OnLine Here.

The Washington State Ferry System
The Port Townsend/Keystone (Coupeville) Ferry Provides Service To The Olympic Peninsula From 1400 S. State Road 20 South Of Coupeville. The Ferry Terminal Is Located Adjacent To Fort Casey State Park Near The Admirality Head Lighthouse. A 64 Car Ferry Makes The 35 Minute Crossing 365 Days A Year Approximately Every 45 Minuts From 6:30 AM Until 9:10 PM. During The Summer Months The Route is Augmented By A Second Ferry.

The Mukilteo/Clinton Ferry Provides Service To The Seattle Area From The Terminal At 64 S. Ferrydock Road In Clinton At The South End Of The Island. A 124 Car Ferry And A 144 Car Ferry Make The 20 Minute Crossing Approximately Every Half Hour From 5:30 AM To 1:05 AM Everyday. Construction Will Begin Soon On A New Ferry Terminal In Mukilteo Which Is Scheduled To Open In 2019. Another 144 Car Ferry Will Be Added To The Route In 2019 During The Busy Summer Months.
Other Ferries Operated In The Area Are: The Black Ferry Line That Operates Between Port Angeles And Victoria, British Columbia From The Port Angeles Terminal At 101 E Railroad Avenue ↔ The Alaska Marine Highway System That Provides Service To Alaska From The Bellingham Terminal Located At 355 Harris Avenue ↔ And The Victoria Clipper Service That Runs Between Seattle And Victoria From Pier 69 - 2701 Alaskan Way In Seattle
