Admiral's Cove Beach Club
☛ The Admiral's Cove Beach Club Was Established In 1969 To Maintain And Operate Recreational Facilities For The Benefit Of The Residents And Property Owners Of The Admirals Cove Residential District. Membership In The Admiral's Cove Beach Club Is Rumored To Be Mandatory, But There Is No Mention Of It In My Deed And I Have Seen No Documents That Validate This Claim. A Few Years Ago, A Few Beach Club Members Tried To Turn The Club Into A Home Owners Association In An Attempt To GAIN CONTROL OF RESIDENTS PROPERTY. But In 2011 Island County Judge Hancock Ruled That This Organization Was NOT A HOA, And Was In Fact A Club. Undeterred, The Current Beach Club Board Of Directors Is Again Attempting To Convert The Club Into A Home Owners Association. Current Changes To The Bylaws Being Considered Will Change The Terms Of The Club's Governing Documents To Reform The Club Into A Homeowners Association. If They Successfully Remove Associate Members And Add Proxy Voting They Will Reshape The Beach Club Into A HOA. Under Current State Law, A Home Owners Association Can Assess Property Owners, Place Liens On Property And Foreclose On Owners That Do Not Comply. They Currently Deny This Is The Objective, But If It Happens Residents Will Lose Control Of Their Property And Will Be Forced To Carry Any Financial Burden They Impose.
Contact The Beach Club For More Information As They Have No Formal Way Of Contacting New Residents Or Property Owners To Let Them Know Of This Incurred Obligation. Ask Them To Prove Membership Is 'Tied To The Land'.
